Molly Duran

MSW, LCSW

Molly completed her Master’s Degree in Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Jane Addams College of Social Work, and a Type 73 School social work certificate at Loyola University Chicago.

She has worked with a diverse clientele, notably assisting victims of felony crimes to navigate the criminal justice system. Molly has provided in-home social work and crisis intervention services to children, teens, and their families. Additionally, Molly has offered individual and group therapy as a school social worker.

Molly aims to focus on the client’s strengths and reaching goals while utilizing a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Exposure Response therapy. As an experienced social worker for over ten years, Molly feels the best approach is specifically designed for each client’s unique circumstances. Molly’s priority is building a positive therapeutic relationship while creating a warm, inviting, and safe space where clients can feel comfortable and supported.

Molly continues to work diligently to improve her skill and knowledge of mental health through training and consultation. She has expanded her practice in treating obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, anxiety and mood disorders, depression, self-harm, and other mental health conditions. Molly is trained in SPACE (Supported Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions), an evidence-based short-term treatment for child anxiety that includes young adults who struggle to be independent and self-sufficient. Parents (not the child, teen, or young adult) participate in treatment to help their child better manage their anxiety. Molly primarily works with clients 12 and up.
